What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is an ancient art that works with the feet to relieve stress and tension, induce relaxation and enhance the sense of wellbeing – helping us to feel balanced and happy in our daily lives.
Can Reflexology help me?
Reflexology helps bring the body into a deep state of calm. All of us can benefit from some time taken for ourselves, to relax and reduce the stresses due to the busy lifestyles we lead. Reflexology can be helpful in dealing with certain long term and recurring conditions and it is suitable for all ages.
What will the treatment be like?
Your appointment includes a short consultation period so that I can tailor the treatment to your needs. During the treatment you will lie back on a reclining chair, supported with pillows and covered in a soft blanket. Reflex points on your feet and toes are worked on using thumb pressure to encourage the release of toxins & tensions. Although some areas can be tender, the treatment should not be painful. Pressure is adjusted to make the treatment effective but always comfortable.
A course of four or five treatments is recommended. Many people then choose to have top-up treatments once every 4 to 6 weeks to maintain improvement.
